BMP-3 Work in Progress (part 2)

Moving on.
Detailed dashboard. As usual I used metal from sparkling water tin, copper wire, sheet polystyrene.

Made handles and straps for back hatches. Painted by Tamiya and Mr.Colour paints.

Sometimes happens unforeseen.  The gang lives with us in apartments. This couple. I just left for a minute my model. Cat  threw down from the table one hatch and dog chewed it in one moment. Little demons :)
So, I had to make new hatch of plastic and some saved details from lost one.

I want open all hatches. Necessary make torsion shafts. They will be visible. Was made master model then casted in the mould 6 copies of epoxy resin.

Couple days for turret. Just wires, tubes, weld joints and washer tanks.

Step-by-step make inside decorations :).

The gun devoid breech piece. Quite easy to make it of polystyrene. The detail D9 designed as the gun's breech piece was fixed as inside part of 2A72 30mm. gun.

In this vehicle established 3 PKT machine guns. Of course  you will find only barrels in this kit. That is quite enough for closed hatches and glued up turret.
Inside turret part of PKT machine gun truncated PKM by Dragon

Laborious task was made on commander's hatch.  In CorelDraw from picture was drawn outline of the panel and printed on cardboard then was cut and glued on the hatch. Again I used the same materials as usual. Triplex was made of DVD disk.

That's all for today. Thanks for reading!
